Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction that also promotes healing. While the energy comes from the universe through the palms of the hands, it can be administered without touching the patient.  Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows though us. When this energy is low, we are vulnerable to feeling stressed and getting sick.

Reiki is made of two Japanese words: Rei: "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki: "life force energy".  In essence, Reiki is "spiritually guided life force energy."

A Reiki Treatment feels like a relaxing flow of energy moving through you. Reiki treats the whole person; thus the body, mind, emotions and spirit receive beneficial effects that include relaxation, and a feeling of inner peace and well being.  During a Reiki session, clients are seated on the couch.  I use a form of distance healing, where Reiki can be transmitted without physical contact needed.  This form of Reiki is just as effective as traditional methods where Reiki is transmitted through the palms of hands. Crystals and essential oils are used in conjunction with Reiki to enhance healing during a treatment.

Reiki is a safe, natural and noninvasive form of healing that works well in conjunction with psychotherapy to balance, clear blocks and release heavy emotions.
