Sessions are 50 minutes, meeting either in my office in Del Mar, or via phone or Skype.
TREATMENT FREQUENCY and length
Most people come in once a week for 50 minutes. When needed, people can come more frequently or schedule longer sessions. When working on issues that took years to develop, people often benefit from long term therapy. For other situations, short term therapy may be sufficient. Many people experience significant improvement in symptom relief within 6 months.
The first session helps me gain an understanding of what is bringing you in for therapy, your goals, and what you would like to work on. We will go over your history and assess what you need. After spending some time talking, we can determine if we are a good fit to work together. I can answer any questions you may have about therapy in general or my approach to therapy. Please fill out the intake and consent forms in advance, so that we can discuss them and use the time to focus on you. I look forward to meeting you and appreciate the opportunity to be part of your healing journey.
